What is Parkinson's Disease?

Parkinson's disease is a disease that forms in the body. This disease happens when nerve cells in your brain slowly get destroyed. It also comes about when the dopamine levels in your brain are low and the brain needs dopamine to send different messages to the nervous system. Parkinson's disease usually occurs in people over the age of 50 but it can occur in children.

What are some symptomsof Parkinson's Disease?

  • Shaking
  • Trouble swallowing
  • Drooling
  • Poor balance
  • Blinking sometimes stop
  • No expression in their face
  • Difficulty moving
  • Mumbling

How does Parkinson's progress?
It usually starts off with a mild shake that eventually turn into a tremor. The people with Parkinson's will then have trouble walking and getting around. Finally a lot of people end up in nursing homes because they will not be able to get around in their homes. They usually never get out of the nursing home.

Is there a cure for Parkinson's Disease?

There is no cure for Parkinson's Disease. There are some medicines that can help slow this disease down, but they will not cure it
